High School Team Selection Process

Our boys’ lacrosse program has flourished, and we have been fortunate to have a lot of wonderful lacrosse players turn out for the high school teams.  With growth also comes some challenges. Bellevue Lacrosse is committed to having teams with high quality coaches, good practice fields, and adequate playing time for the boys. This year we will limit the number of players in the high school program to assure a quality experience.

We will field three teams as we did last year: Frosh/Soph, JV and Varsity. The coaches will select 75 players total for these three teams. Seniors will be grandfathered per our previous policy regarding rules and eligibility changes. Cuts if necessary will be made across all grades.  Priority is given first to boys who attend Bellevue High School, second to boys who live in the Bellevue School District but do not attend Bellevue High and finally to to boys who live in the Bellevue High geographic area but attend a private school that does not offer a HS lacrosse program.  Please refer to http://www.bsd405.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1302 . Policies 3252 and 3251. 2 are the policies that address eligibility to play for us.T ryouts for the teams will be held the first week in March which is the soonest our coaches are allowed to work with the players after the mandated black out period which began August 1.

We will be holding preseason conditioning starting January 5th running through February 20th. This is also open to all high school players with the cost shared between the club and the players. This will be $75 a player.

Registration for high school players will be open to all interested students with a $25 fee paid upon registration and the balance due on making a team .
